March often aligns with the Hebrew month of Adar, a month historically associated with joy, reversal, and unexpected victory. In the Jewish calendar, Adar is most famously connected to the story of Book of Esther, where what was meant for destruction turned into deliverance. A decree of death was reversed, mourning was turned into celebration, and God proved that He can shift outcomes behind the scenes.
Adar carries the theme: “the curse is overturned.” What the enemy planned for harm, God flipped for good. Some traditions also connect this season with the tribe of Naphtali (Genesis 49:21), described as a “deer let loose” who bears beautiful words. That imagery is powerful for believers today. A deer let loose speaks of freedom, acceleration, and movement without restraint. Beautiful words speak of testimony — the evidence that God has done something worth talking about.
For Christians, this month can be a prophetic reminder of a Kingdom principle: God specializes in reversals.
The cross of Jesus was history’s greatest reversal. What looked like defeat on Friday became resurrection power on Sunday. Through Christ, the ultimate curse — sin and separation — has already been broken (Galatians 3:13). Because of that finished work, we don’t strive for victory; we walk in it.
So what can believers “tap into” during this season?
- Expect Divine Reversals
Pray with bold faith. Situations that seem delayed, denied, or dead can shift suddenly. Adar reminds us that God can change outcomes quickly. - Embrace Joy as Warfare
Joy is not denial — it is defiance. When you choose joy in uncertain seasons, you declare that God’s promise outweighs your present pressure. - Release Your Testimony
Naphtali’s “beautiful words” remind us that our voice matters. Share what God has done. Your testimony activates faith in others and reinforces victory in your own life.
March doesn’t guarantee magic moments — but it can mark a mindset shift. Instead of bracing for hardship, brace for breakthrough. Instead of expecting loss, look for lifting. If Adar teaches us anything, it’s this: the story is not over when it looks darkest. God may already be arranging a reversal you cannot yet see.
Celebrate in advance. The curse is broken. The turnaround may be closer than you think.
