December is a month filled with lights, celebration, and reflection. For many, it’s also a time of mixed emotions—because while the year is ending, some prayers still feel unanswered. Some are believing for healing. Some are hoping for restoration in their families. Some are praying for financial breakthrough or direction for the year to come. And yet, even in the final stretch of the calendar, God is still working behind the scenes.
Scripture reminds us in Jeremiah 32:27 (KJV): “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” God does not operate on deadlines. He is not limited by dates, clocks, or the turning of seasons. If He made the promise, He can perform it—even before the year ends.
Think about Joseph in Genesis. In one single day, he went from the prison to the palace. God didn’t slowly elevate Joseph over several months—He shifted his entire life in a moment. That same God is able to step into your situation and turn everything around with one divine move.
Ephesians 3:20 declares that He is “able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.” This means even when it seems too late for you, it is never too late for God. The miracle you’ve been waiting on may already be in motion.
As you close out this year, choose expectation over exhaustion. Choose faith over fear. Choose to believe that God can do more in the final days of the year than you have seen in the first eleven months.
Let this be your December declaration: “God is not finished with my story. He can still do it.”
So keep praying. Keep hoping. Keep your heart open. God specializes in last-minute breakthroughs and end-of-the-year miracles. You may be closer to your answer than you think.
